Maple Cup
Overview
The Maple Cup will serve as a four-week warm-up series, setting the stage for the 2026 Canadian Esports Championships, where Canadian Champions will be crowned across a wide range of categories.
A validated result in a Maple Cup race is required to participate in the 2026 Canadian Esports Championships.
This event is hosted on Zwift.
Categories
Dynamic categories will be implemented for the Maple Cup. The number of categories and how riders are grouped will depend on the number of registrations and the participants' abilities. If registration numbers allow, dedicated women's categories may be added.
Eligibility
The 4 races of Maple Cup are open to all Canadian Citizens (dual citizenship included), permanent resident, landed immigrant or an individual with refugee status. All eligible riders who register for this event will be added automatically to the race. This is not an open/public event.
Format
The series consists of 4 scratch races. At the end of each race, points are awarded to the riders in the way described in the following table.
Note that after position 21, every rider gets 1 point.
Performance Verification
Performance verification is mandatory for all participants. This includes weight, height and equipment videos submission as well as provision of a dual recording for the races. Smart trainer/smart bike for power source to the game and heart rate data are mandatory. A full list of permitted devices is available in the technical guide.
